Why Worship?

When we worship God, we come into His presence through the Blood of Jesus. We were made to Worship Him.

Becoming a worshipper demands a relationship and fellowship with God. In order to worship God, your heart must be directed toward God. Your mind, will, intellect and emotions (your soul) must be focused on what the Word of God says and reveals for our lives. We extend our arms and lift our hands because we have surrendered our lives to Him and remain open and ready to receive from Him; as we continue to serve and be used by Him as a vessel He can work through.

Our praise is the sacrificial offering whereby we come into His presence with thanksgiving, confession, repentance and supplication. This is all necessary before we worship. Our mind is renewed based on what we know of God and we are no longer allowing our flesh to separate us from God. Self must die, just as Christ died on the cross before we can become true worshippers. The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart, and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent. (Psalms 34:18). This is the acceptable sacrifice to God. (Psalms 51:17)

A broken heart before God [a heart open and ready to be filled with His Spirit] will yearn to be in His presence. It is the Spirit that gives Life and He is the Life--giver. The flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken unto you are spirit and are Life. (John 6:63) God speaks to the spirit of man for He is spirit. So, when we worship him, we worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). In his presence we may meditate and stand still and quiet while He speaks to our heart. We may bow in His presence signifying bowing our hearts before Him and giving Him all honor and reverence with an attitude of worship. Sometimes, there is weeping because you know He's there and you can feel His embrace. In His presence, He makes you feel pure, even if you don't think you are. What a joy! It's in our worship, in the presence of God when He speaks to our hearts and gives us precious nuggets deposited into our spirit which gives us Life. I know for a fact that the proud, stubborn and hardened at heart does not experience this.

Sometimes, we all need help getting to this point. Including longtime Christians. Sometimes issues in life can weigh us down and cause distractions. Praise and Worship music can help us to stay focused. It reminds us of our joy, gives encouragement as well as stimulate and rekindle our faith. Worship music reaches beyond the soul and stirs the spirit of man. It causes us to respond to the Spirit of God. We want to teach individuals how to express their inner feelings towards God through music. To encourage them to release their emotions to God in worship whether privately or openly. Worhip is something we are going to be doing throughout eternity with Jesus and music is singularly fitted to do this. Inspirational music can motivate people into praise and worship allowing the body to know what the spirit feels. It is releasing the outer to reveal the inner. The desire to worship is ingrained in us. It just has to be revealed. Worship requires us to get in touch with our innermost feelings and very few of us are comfortable about doing this. It requires putting those feelings and emotions into words when most of us have been taught to talk facts and not feelings.

The mission for Worship For Life Ministries is to provide a place of worship whereby individuals and families will come and experience the manifest presence of God, through the teaching of the Word of God, and powerful praise and worship services. In addition, the performing arts will be in full effect through concerts, plays, cantatas and choreo-dramas. Our objective is to bring the love and joy and keep the love and joy flowing in the lives of individuals. God is interested in Life. He is Life. He has given Life. He is the preserver of Life. Let us Worship Him for Life!!
